Organization & Experience

Maxkon operates as a Limited Liability Company Partnership but holds the tax privileges of an S-Corporation.

Ginger Kasper – Principal, General Operations, Design Director
Through a variety of experience managing and understanding the design process, Ginger’s acquired skills play an essential role in the operations of Maxkon as well as all design services.
Ginger studied interior design at Arizona State University and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Design. During her studies, a great deal of time was spent participating in activities at the Del E Webb School of Construction where she met her future business partners and also created other valuable business contacts.
Her experience in the construction industry began during her first internship with Tom Norris Homes, a successful custom home designer and builder operating in Scottsdale. Working directly under Tom Norris, Ginger was able to learn valuable skills in both the design and general contracting of several multi-million dollar homes.
Shortly after graduating, Leo A Daly Architects added Ginger to their Phoenix interior design team. Leo A Daly being one of the largest architecture, engineering, planning, and interior design firms in the United States allowed her to work on a range of large commercial projects including the Tucson International Airport, Scottsdale Mayo Clinic, and The Monte Carlo Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
Ginger left Leo A Daly to pursue a more intimate studio position at Loewen Design Group, a thriving interior design studio specializing in high-end hospitality. The smaller staff size allowed her to be more involved with the design, purchasing, and managing of multiple interiors including those of Resort Suites of Scottsdale, Planet Hollywood Resort and Convention Center Las Vegas, Lubbock Convention Center Texas, Marriot Camelback Inn Phoenix, and Sheraton Steamboat Springs Resort Colorado.

MacDonald Costas – Principal, Planning & Estimating, Contracts
A passion for building led Mac through the trades to construction management. His thorough understanding of the construction process and industry set the foundation for Maxkon.
Before pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management at Arizona State University’s Del E Webb School of Construction (DEWSC), Mac gained pertinent experience in framing and drywall, erecting steel, pouring concrete, underground utilities, and roofing on countless jobs throughout Arizona.
The DEWSC further strengthened Mac’s passion and he became a leader amongst his peers captaining teams in national competitions and acting as President of the Association of General Contractors Student Chapter. His skills were recognized by Turner Construction and Skanska USA, two of the largest general contractors with a worldwide presence. He was trained while working on high profile projects at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital Vancouver, Legacy Emmanuel Hospital Portland, Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital Portland, and Portland International Airport.
After college Sundt Construction, a top ranked highly diversified construction company, placed Mac as a project engineer in their general building division. The Gilbert Fire Station #1 Design Build, Sunstate Equipment Corporate Headquarters, Gilbert South Water Treatment Plant, and City North Parking Structure #1 were the beginning of his official professional career.
Seeking a smaller more personal corporate culture Mac migrated to Markham Contracting Company, a general contractor specializing in civil site development, underground utilities, and paving. He was able to be more hands on in project scheduling, estimating, and managing.
Markham’s environment supported Mac while he managed the design and construction of the Thunderbird’s Equine Facility at the Phoenix Zoo. This was project originally started at ASU with the Hunkapi Horse Program. After the project’s success, Mac realized the potential and Maxkon became a design and project management reality.
